Bodegas Balbas
Bodegas Balbas is a six-generation family-owned winery located in Ribera del Duero that was founded in 1777. Balbas has over 200 acres of vineyards with the age of the vines ranging from 25 years to over 90 years. All grapes are hand-picked, and all their reds are aged in oak barrels. We currently import their refreshing Verdejo, their Tempranillo based wines of Barrica (aged in French and American Oak barrels for 5 months), their Pagos de Balbas (aged in American Oak for 9 months), their Crianza (aged in French Oak for 18 months) along with their Reserva and Ancestral (both aged in French Oak for 24 months).

Bodegas del Medievo
Located in La Rioja, Medievo cultivates the Tempranillo (both red and white!), Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes. They are one of seven wineries in the world that grow the white Tempranillo grape - a natural clone of the red Tempranillo grape. We import this wine as well as their delicious Crianza which is a blend of Tempranillo (80%), Garnacha (10%), Graciano (5%), Mazuelo (5%) giving it a unique flavor profile.

Obiz Winery
3rd generation wine maker Yunmani Bergamasco, who took ownership of the Obiz winery in 1997, has worked with head winemaker Francesco Visintin (pictured here) to take advantage of their vineyard’s ideal microclimatic setting stemming from their proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the protective barrier provided by the Julian Alps with good ventilation year-round to produce outstanding wines from their vineyard’s clayey and sandy soils. We currently import their very fine white wines of Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla along with their Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Natissa Rosso (50% Refosco, 50% Merlot). In 2023, we were excited to have started the import of all three of Obiz's Sparkling wines - two whites, one a mixture of Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay with the other comprised solely of Ribolla Gailla while the third is a Rose made from Merlot. These Sparkling wines are produced using the Charmat method. All of Obiz's reds, with the exception of the Cab Franc, spend a minimum of six months in French Oak.
